So in a week I will be hitting my 2 months as a vegan mark pretty soon here. So excited that I have made it this long.
So far as a vegan I have found it's quite easier to lose weight especially if you aren't eating a whole lot of the junk food you find out there. So far I have lost roughly 12 pounds as a vegan so that is pretty cool.
I find that I have more energy than I use to. I mean not a whole lot more I kind of blame that on the fact that my bed kind of sucks so I don't get the rest I really need. But it certainly is more than it use to be. Constantly I get asked what has gotten into me. Ha ha.
I stress a lot less than I use to. I still have my moments but on average it's not as bad as it use to be and when I do stress it really doesn't last as long as it use to. I use to stress all the time. I mean constantly stressing over even the littlest things. I just feel lighter and happier. I feel like because I am doing something great for myself I am able to do something great for others. Of course the fact that I am not hurting an animal more than needed helps too (why I say more than needed is since my cat and hermit crab eats "meat" I can't say I don't at all. I have decided to just let them be how they should be as they can't tell me they want to be vegan. I just limit it where I can.)
When I workout I can go harder and longer than I use to. I mean it doesn't seem like work like it use to. I suppose because of that I enjoy it more than I use to.
When I breath it's not as hard as it use to be. I can almost feel my heart saying thank you for me not eating that crap anymore. I get a lot less headaches, rarely get heartburn and acid reflux. My stomach use to get upset constantly now it's very rare.
I love my veggies. I can eat it without dressing and still enjoy them. For me that is a huge deal as I have not been much of a veggie person. I still don't eat much fruit but that's because my favorites are not in season right now. I look forward to spring/summer so I can eat a whole lot more.
My fingernails feel so much stronger than they were. I suffer from eczema and it is not as bad as it normally is this time of year nor is my head as itchy as it normally is in the winter due to dryness. This may be gross but dang it I am more regular in the bathroom than I use to be.
I enjoy sharing what I know with others and blowing peoples minds. I know it may not change how they eat but it makes me feel better that they know where their food comes from.
All in all I really enjoy this lifestyle and look forward to seeing how else this lifestyle changes my life for the better. :-)
