I watched Vegucated on Netflix and was truly inspired! I made the first step today at my doctors appointment and requested to see a nutritionist to change my eating habits. I have cut down on meat over the years and want to do more to lead a healthier lifestyle.

So since joining this community, I've been making healthier choices in my diet. To my amazement, it isn't as difficult as I thought it would be. I've even come up with a couple decent recipes. So, this morning, after realizing I needed to increase my iron intake for energy, I made a decent shake, which was basically broccoli, mango, kale, and watermelon. I waited a little while after drinking it and then worked out at the gym.
When I got home, I had a few walnuts and almonds, then some pistachios. I cooked lunch, which was green lentils, with raw broccoli, kale, avocado and green pepper, with just some red wine vinegar and mustard as dressing.
